Android 2.3.3 and 2.4 ugh.

Just a thought: If Android just recently released 2.3.3 (gingerbread) and they plan on splitting it up and making 2.4 the same being gingerbread, then really what is the point. Does anyone know what other difference that there would be coming in 2.4, which with 2.3.3 it came with a few changes with sounds and better battery life. I googled and couldn’t really find much so….. maybe someone on here can enlighten me. Or is it that 2.3 was for some phones and others that didn’t get the 2.3 update will just get the 2.4 and that will be final?! That or I am just thinking too much about a simple Android update.
